Die International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Conference 2019 findet vom 24. bis 28. Juni in Göttingen statt und wird von der Niedersächsischen Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen ausgerichtet. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an ein breites Spektrum von Aktiven und Interessierten aus Technik, Wissenschaft und Kultur, die mit digitalen Bildern und audiovisuellen Materialien arbeiten. Sie findet in englischer Sprache statt, sofern nicht anders angegeben.

IIIF für Einsteiger: besonders möchten die VeranstalterInnen auf den kostenlosen (englischsprachigen) Showcase am Montag sowie den eigens für die deutschsprachige Community aufgenommenen Workshop am Dienstag "IIIF für Einsteiger, eine deutschsprachige Einführung"  hinweisen. Alle, die wenig oder keine Erfahrung mit IIIF haben, finden hier einen niedrigschwelligen Zugang. Die Teilnahme am Workshop-Tag kann separat zum reduzierten Beitrag von 70 Euro gebucht werden.

The 2019 International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Conference will be held in the week of the 24th to 28th of June in Göttingen, hosted by the University of Göttingen / Göttingen State and University Library. The Conference is intended for a wide range of participants and interested parties, including digital image repository managers, content curators, software developers, scholars, and administrators at libraries, museums, cultural heritage institutions, software firms, and other organizations working with digital images and audio/visual materials. All event proceedings will be in English unless otherwise noted.

IIIF for beginners: the organizers would like to draw particular attention to the free showcase on Monday and the workshop on Tuesday "IIIF für Einsteiger, eine deutschsprachige Einführung" (IIIF for beginners, a German-language introduction), which was specially recorded for the German-speaking community. All those who have little or no experience with IIIF will find a low-threshold access here. Participation in the workshop day can be booked separately for the reduced fee of 70 Euro.
