UMAC's ANNUAL AWARD for University Museums & Collections

UMAC is delighted to announce an annual award for the most significant innovation or practice that has proved successful in a university museum or collection (including art galleries). The prize is in two parts:
1. an engraved trophy for the winner's university (passed on each year) 
2. a cash award of 750 EUR (the amount may be altered by the board of UMAC by 31 December)

Applications are made by an individual on behalf of a museum or collection owned or administered by a university (or other tertiary institution). Applications are free form submissions or formal papers that describe the innovation and its successful results.  The application should be sent to the prize committee in digital form to the following e-mail address by January 31, 2016. Alternatively, a paper presented at UMAC’s annual conference may be nominated as an entry.

The UMAC selection panel, nominated by the UMAC board, will compile a short list, from which the final decision will be made. Conflict of Interest: Board members whose institution, museum or colleagues are under consideration will recuse themselves from participation on the selection panel.The award will be presented at a ceremony at the winner’s university or/and at the next possible UMAC meeting.
